When I started the Summer I didn't really have a training plan in mind, I just knew I wanted to lose weight. So I said I was going to lose 30 pounds. Now, let's just stop right there. I know that is not a healthy goal, I know that now. I am starting to get this whole weight loss thing in perspective. Now, back to the 30 pound thing. I started exercising at the beginning of Summer at our local gym and the weight wasn't just falling off like I saw fit, so I got frustrated and quit. Then, I started again and had a miscarriage. It has been a Summer of trials with this whole exercise thing, but I think I am finally getting it.
Now, I finally have a goal in mind. I wanted to say a half-marathon (which I will do one day), but in keep obtainable goals, I am aiming for a 10k. I now have a schedule and have downloaded apps and training plans to keep me on track.
Hal Higdon 10K Novice Training Plan. Here is a picture I have on my phone to give you an idea of the plan. It is free. I am still not sure of the whole cross-fit thing, and I am trying to do research to get a better idea of what exactly that entails. But I have a plan of some sort and a goal for the first time in a long time!
Last night I was being a total procrastinator and waited until I couldn't run outside, so I took to the treadmill. Yes, I put it off, but at the end of the day I still did it, and for that I am proud.
